PERUBAHAN SOSIO-EKONOMI DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP AMALAN MERANTAU DI KALANGAN NELAYAN
Abstract
This is study of how socio-economic change understandings are expressed and juxtaposed in the capitalist economic tourism of the fishing community. Its make impact to custom of matrilineal system, especially practice of “merantau”. This study located in Padang beach area, West Sumatra, Indonesia. In Padang beach area, fishing community just more than less 100 household because they was impact by capitalist economic tourism since 2004 and its number always become less. Based on the case study, it will be argued that there is a significant relation between socioeconomic change and act of matrilineal system such us pattern of migration (merantau) in fishing community
