Abstrak: Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan sosok perempuan berdasarkan pandangan budaya Jawa yang terdapat dalam naskah drama Arifin C. Noer. Peneletian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra, jenis penelitianini adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data berupa naskah drama karya Arifin C. Noer. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, kalimat, dialog, monolog, situasi, dan lingkungan yang merepresentasikan sosok perempuan berdasarkan pandangan Jawa. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan (1) identitas fisik sosok perempuan dalam naskah Arifin C. Noer, (2) identitas sosial sosok perempuan dalam naskah Arifin C. Noer, (3) orientasi budaya tokoh perempuan dalam naskah Arifin C. Noer, (4) sikap hidup tokoh perempuan dalam naskah Arifin C. Noer, dan (5) pandangan hidup tokoh perempuan dalam naskah Arifi C. Noer.Kata kunci: sosok perempuan, naskah drama, budaya JawaAbstract: This study aimed to describe the female figure in Arifin C. Noer’s play script based on the Javanese culture. This qualitative study used literary, sociological approach with the descriptive analysis method. The data in this study were in the form of words, phrases, sentences, dialogues, monologues, situations and environments that represent the female figure based on the Javanese values. Source of data was the play script written by Arifin C. Noer. Research results showed: (1) the physical identity of the female figure in the play script written by Arifin C. Noer, (2) the social identity of the female figure in the play script written by Arifin C. Noer, (3) the cultural orientation of the female character in the play script written by Arifin C. Noer, (4) the life attitude of the female character in the script Arifin C. Noer, and (5) view of life female character in the play script written by Arifin C.
