Abstract
ABSTRACT This research intends to understand the implementation of community based education as a media of social change toward a learning society (a case study at Fatanugraha Alternative School Wonosobo Central Java). This research applies a qualitative descriptive method. One of the conclusion of this research is that the efforts to built a social change toward the learning society such as; colaborating the national and islamic boarding school curricullum, giving a good attitude, and building an independence behavior.
