IMPLEMENTASI PERMENDIKNAS NOMOR. 42 TAHUN 2007 TENTANG SERTIFIKASI DOSEN PADA PENINGKATAN PROFESIONALISME DOSEN DI STAIN BUKITTINGGI
Abstract
This study reveals the implementation of Minister of National Education rules no. 42 of 2007 on the certification of lecturer in the professional development of STAIN Bukittinggi’s lecturer. The type of research is the field research with a qualitative and quantitative approach (mixing method); the qualitative data is used as supporting data and quantitative analysis is used to strengthen the analysis.The results illustrate the highest professional competence for 86% or in the category of very good/effective; it means that the lecturer will be more professional in their activity if the profession allowances is paid. Then, the pedagogical competence is in the second place for 80% or in the category of good/effective, which means if the profession allowance is paid, the lecturer will improve the pedagogy or they will understand the characteristics of the students, good communication, control the classes, perform the lesson plan carefully, master teaching materials, use the instructional media and always evaluate every activity that has been carried out on an ongoing basis. Furthermore, the personal competence is in the third rank since it is 77% or in the category of good / effective. If the allowance is paid then the lecturer will improve their competence in the personal field or they will be dressed and speak well or politely. At last, the social competence only gets 76% or in the category of good/effective. This data show that if the allowance is paid, it will develop the lecturer’s competency in social working, or they would improve the relation with all levels of campus leadership, fellow faculty, staff, students and the community environment of the campus.
