Abstract

Sundanese. It uses the descriptive method. The data wereThis research aims to describe the qualitative marker incollected with bibliographic study, intuitive technique, andelicitation technique. The sources of data are the spokenand written Sundanese and its variation. The data areanalyzed with distributional method and immediateconstituent analysis. The result shows that there are 32 thequalitative markers in Sundanese: two affixes and thirtyqualitative adverbs. The result of this study consists of fourqualitative markers. They are form, distribution, function,and meaning. The form of the qualitative marker consists offour word forms: the simple words, derivative words,reduplication words, and compound words. Thedistribution of the qualitative marker in adjective phrasesconsists of four word positions: pre-adjective, postadjective, pre-post-adjective, and mobile position. Thefunction of the qualitative marker consists of two kinds offunctions: the inflective function and attributive function.The meaning of the qualitative marker consists of twoquality degree. The first is quality degree which divides atpositive, intensive, elative, excessive, augmentative, andextenuative. The second is a comparison degree whichdivides at equative, comparative, and superlative.
