This study aims to analyze a poem from linguisticframework. This is a library research, using qualitative data,documentary study, description, deconstruction andcontent analysis method.  An intrinsic-objective approach isalso employed in this research. The analysis commencesfrom lexicogrammar which produces automatized patternand non-automatized one. The automatized patternproduces the subject matter while the non-automatizedpattern yields the first order of meaning. In addition, thefirst order of meaning serves as symbols to generate thesecond order of meaning or literary meaning.  Finally, theliterary meaning navigates us to generalize the deepestmeaning of the poem. The research result proves that thesubject matter of the poem is ‘the prostitute took the manand the hermit to the indecent swamp and killed them inthe morning’. The first order of meaning of this poem refersto the clause six to ten. The literary meaning is ‘in immoral,wicked, and evil places, people do not believe in Godanymore’. They do anything to get their ambition-such aswealth, rank, and women. Even, they are proud of theirwealth, rank, and of showing their lust. Eventually, thedeepest meaning of the poem is about ‘the moraldegradation’.
