PELUANG DAN TANTANGAN IJTIHAD DALAM PEMBARUAN HUKUM ISLAM
Abstract
The substance of Islamic law reformation is how dare to apply ijtihad in long life human act. It is because ijtihad is one of the important substances of Islamic preaching. Toward ijtihad, the problems that are not found how to solute in the Koran and hadis are probably overcome by Islamic scholars. The gate of ijtihad has been opened since sahabat must be preserved continuously by all Muslim people. On the contrary, there are tendencies that identify and claim ijtihad as how to think freely without mastering-based deep knowledge and lack of maqasid al-syari`ah interpretations. Finally, it emerged Islamic opinions claimed as ijtihad whereas the result and effect are far from public interest for all people and even it tends to imperfection and dangerous. Hence, meaning reorientation, method, and true purpose of ijtihad should be done. Consequently, Islamic law reformation with ijtihad should be on syariah line and suitable with global change.
