NEGOSIASI OTORITAS KEPEMIMPINAN PONDOK PESANTREN PABELAN MASA KEPEMIMPINAN KYAI HAMAM DJA’FAR 1965-1993
Abstract
Pesantren is an institution where its leadership is based on the descendants of the founders. However, with the development of the era, pondok pesantren has begun to experience system changes such as bureaucracy in it. This pesantren bureaucratization have an impact on the authority of kyai in which the leadership based on descendants turns into a certain qualification. The existence of pesantren bureaucratization does not eliminate the traditional authority. This is because in this bureaucracy there are some family members who have a certain position, so that between the traditional and legal authority are still applied in the modern pesantren. The combination of traditional authority and legal authority has become a demand for the survival of pesantren. The existence of traditional authority is due to the culture that exists in society, while legal authority has become a necessity of the development of the era.Keywords: pesantren, heredity, bureaucracy and authority
