Peran Panti Asuhan Dharma Surya Tangerang dalam Mengembangkan Spiritualitas Buddhis Anak Yatim Piatu

Abstract

The background to this research problem is the spirituality of orphans which has not been well described. The aim of this research is to describe the spirituality of orphans at the Dharma Surya Orphanage. This research was carried out in three stages, namely: planning, collection and analysis, and reporting. The data collection stage was carried out through interviews, documentation and observation at the Dharma Surya Orphanage. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The informants in this research were five sources consisting of three children from an orphanage and two foster parents. The validity of research data is carried out using credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing final conclusions. The results of the research show that: 1) the spirituality of orphans is influenced by various parts which are grouped into the daily attitudes and spiritual views of each child at the Dharma Surya Orphanage; 2) The Spiritual Development Strategy for Orphans is divided into two strategies, namely development strategies in the form of action and development strategies in the form of action. Thoughts on supporting the spiritual characteristics previously possessed by children in orphanages; 3) The role of foster parents focuses on the children at the Dharma Surya Orphanage to provide a lot of general and spiritual knowledge to open the door to a better future for them.
