Pola Asuh Orang Tua Siswa Beragama Buddha yang Berprestasi di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Dandang 1 Kecamatan Cisak Tangerang
Abstract
This study aimed to describe the integration of Buddhist parents who excel academically at SDN Dangdang 1, Cisauk District, Tangerang. This study used a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were parents of students and students taught by teachers. Data collection techniques used were non-tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data collection instruments included interview guidelines, observation notes, and documentation. Data analysis used by researchers was the interactive Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that the support given by Buddhist parents who excel academically at SDN Dangdang 1, Cisauk District, Tangerang, was in the form of providing facilities, communication, motivation, and attention aimed at improving children's learning achievement in various ways. Parenting patterns for Buddhist students who excel at SDN Dangdang 1, Cisauk District, Tangerang, namely parents provide examples of positive behavior for children, both through knowledge, feelings, and tendencies to act, so that children can easily apply them in their daily lives. The impact of parenting patterns is twofold. Namely, the negative impact of parenting patterns on high-achieving students, namely, children accept the actions given by parents in educating when children make mistakes. The positive impact is parents' success in educating children to become obedient and behave well in everyday life.
