Pemahaman Warga Jemaat GMIM Immanuel Taratara Terhadap Peran Gereja Masa Kini: Sebuah Kajian Kualitatif

Abstract

Biblical interpretations of the role of the church may vary depending on denomination and theological tradition. Nonetheless, these principles reflect the Bible's commonly recognized footing in guiding the church's role in faith and community service. This study aims to document and analyze the level of understanding of the congregation of The Christian Evangelical Church in Minahasa Immanuel Taratara about the role of the church in the current context related to the biblical foundations of the Function and Role of the Church contained in the Bible. The research method uses qualitative, data collection techniques carried out through interviews and participatory observation in various church activities. Data analysis is carried out by reduction, display, and concluding. Data testing uses techniques to check the degree of trust, transferability, dependency, and certainty of data. The research findings provide a snapshot of how members of the congregation understand and respond to the role of the church in facing the challenges of this age. The findings can be used as a guide for church strategies in facing changing times and become a way for church worship to be effective and have an impact on society.
