Eksposisi Markus 14:43-52: Ciuman Pengkhianatan
Abstract
This article discusses the exposition of the Gospel of Mark chapter 14:43-51. Mark specifically emphasizes the suffering and death of Jesus as the atonement for sinners. The arrest of Jesus is part of the story of Jesus' suffering which emphasizes the theology of the cross. He gave His life as a ransom for many. The arrest of Jesus was a fulfillment of an Old Testament prophecy. That there will be a rejection of the Messianic King (Psalm 109:2-5); The people mistreated the Messiah (Isa. 53:7). Jesus revealed that fact, willingly endured it because God wanted it to. He suffered that injustice to fulfill what the Scriptures said about the Messiah. A true disciple must know a Great Master (Rabbi) and will continue to have Him as his "role model". Thus, the disciples are called to listen to and understand His teachings, to apply the teachings of the Great Teacher, to follow their Master, to give themselves in service and to be ready to take up the cross.
