Abstrak Peranan tutur Gayo dalam keluarga di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, merupakan suatu gambaran proses komunikasi yang berlangsung di keluarga dalam bentuk panggilan kepada sanak pamili atau saudara, juga terjadi pada interaksi sosial di masyarakat umum secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pentingnya komunikasi efektif dalam keluarga melalui tutur Gayo, serta untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tentang kendala-kendala penyebab tutur tidak digunakan dalam keluarga di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Masalah dalam studi ini adalah bagaimana peranan tutur sebagai komunikasi efektif dalam keluarga di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, dan kendala-kendala penyebab kurangnya digunakan tutur dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe deskriftif. Dengan metode ini maka penelitian ini diperoleh data melalui, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tutur gayo sangat berperan sebagai komunikasi yang efektif dalam keluarga di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh tengah, namun dalam pelaksanaanya masih ada keluarga atau masyarakat yang tidak menggunakan nya dalam keluarga,dan penerapan nya masih kurang baik. Disisi lain, penelitian ini juga menunjukan adanya kendala-kendala yang dihadapi keluarga di Kecamatan Bebesen Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Adapun penyebab kendala yang dialami masyarakat ialah timbul dari dalam keluarga (faktor internal), dan ada pula kendala yang timbul dari pengaruh luar (faktor eksternal). AbstractThe role of Gayo speech in the family in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency, is a description of the communication process that takes place in the family in the form of calls to relatives or relatives, also occurs in effective social interaction in the general public. This study aims to identify and describe the importance of effective communication in the family through Gayo speech, as well as identify and describe the obstacles that cause speech not to be used in families in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of speech as effective communication in families in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency, and the obstacles that cause the lack of use of speech in the family. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a descriptive type. With this method, this study obtained data through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that gayo speech plays a very important role in effective communication in families in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency, but in practice there are still families or communities who do not use it in the family, and its application is still not good. On the other hand, this study also shows the obstacles faced by families in Bebesen District, Central Aceh Regency. The causes of the obstacles experienced by the community arise from within the family (internal factors), and there are also obstacles that arise from outside influences (external factors).
