Abstrak Saat ini dunia sedang digemparkan dengan pandemi virus Corona yang sudah menyerang ratusan Negara sejak ditemukan di Wuhan, China pada akhir tahun 2019. Penyebaran virus ini yang terbilang cepat ditambah dengan ketiadaan vaksin maupun obat untuk penanganan pasien membuat virus ini menjadi momok yang menakutkan dan sekaligus menjadi topic yang hangat diperbincangkan oleh media massa.TribunManado.co.id sebagai salah satu media online terbesar di Sulawesi Utara juga memberikan porsi yang cukup signifikan pada berita mengenai virus corona ini. Namun demikian laiknya sebuah karya jurnalistik oleh lembaga berita, maka tentu saja pemberitaan virus ini oleh tidak terlepas dari kepentingan-kepentingan baik itu kepentingan bisnis maupun kepentingan ideology. Dengan metode Melalui deskriptif kualitatif dengan memggunakan demitologisasi Roland Barthes sebagai teori yang mendasari maka hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi framing pada berita mengenai virus corona tersebut. Framing yang terjadi pada berita virus corona sejatinya mengandung makna denotasi juga mengandung makna konotasi. Dari kedua makna ini maka framing itu pada akhirnya menjadi mitos yang dipercayai masyarakat mengenai virus corona. Demitologisasi Roland Barthes sebagai upaya menghadirkan makna eksistensial pemberitaan TribunManado.co.id terhadap virus corona adalah sebuah laporan terhadap peristiwa riil yang terjadi ditengah masyarakat bahwa ada perkembangan signifikan kasus virus corona baik di Sulawesi Utara maupun di Indonesia namun seiring dengan itu juga terjadi tingkat kesembuhan yang signifikan dari para penderita virus corona.   AbstractCurrently the world is in shock with the Corona virus pandemic that has attacked hundreds of countries since it was discovered in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019.
