Strategi Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Pembentukan Karakter Tanggungjawab Siswa

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies of Islamic religious education teachers in building the character of student responsibility in schools, the condition of the character of student responsibility in schools, and the obstacles Islamic religious education teachers have in forming the character of student responsibility in schools. This research is a qualitative research with purposive sampling, namely the deputy head of the curriculum, teachers of Islamic religious education, and students of grades X, XI, XII. This research shows that the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in forming the responsible character of students in schools is carried out by providing teaching and advice to children about the importance of responsible character education, accustoming students to doing good activities or actions, and setting an example to students. The character of student responsibility at school is that students are not late for school, do assignments on time, participate in extracurricular activities, and return books that have been lent. The obstacles faced are school regulations that are not strict enough for students, as well as a lack of guidance and attention from parents. Based on these conditions, the teacher's efforts at school are to make rules in the classroom during the learning process and provide advice to students during and outside of class hours. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan strategi guru pendidikan agama  Islam dalam pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab siswa di sekolah, kondisi karakter tanggung jawab siswa di sekolah, dan penghambat guru pendidikan agama  Islam dalam pembentukkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualilatif dengan penentuan subjek dilakukan secara purposive sampling, yaitu wakil kepala kurikulum, guru pendidikan agama  Islam, dan siswa kelas X, XI, XII. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru pendidikan agama  Islam dalam pembentukkan karakter tanggung jawab siswa di sekolah dilaksanakan dengan memberikan pengajaran dan nasehat anak tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter tangggung jawab, membiasakan siswa melakukan kegiatan atau perbuatan yang baik, dan memberikan keteladanan kepada siswa. Adapun karakter tanggung jawab siswa disekolah yaitu siswa tidak terlambat hadir ke sekolah, mengerjakan tugas tepat pada waktunya, mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakulikuler, dan mengembalikan buku yang telah dipinjamkan. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah peraturan sekolah yang kurang ketat terhadap siswa, serta kurangnya pembinaan serta perhatian dari orang tua. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka upaya guru di sekolah adalah membuat peraturan dalam kelas pada saat proses pembelajaran dan memberikan nasehat kepada siswa disaat dan di luar jam pelajaran.
