PELAKSANAAN KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER MEMBACA MENULIS AL QUR'AN (MMA) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN BACAAN AL-QUR'AN DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 1 SURAKARTA
Abstract
This research aims to explain the implementation of MMA (Reciting and Writing of Al-Qur'an) extracurricular activities. This research is included in descriptive qualitative because it explains the direct phenomenon by the researcher. The subject of this research is the coordinator of Islamic religious education (PAI) teachers and teachers who support MMA extracurricular activities. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The study used several data analyzes, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the MMA (Reciting and Writing Al-Qur'an) extracurricular activities are carried out during the last lesson at school, in one meeting for a week, with a duration of ninety minutes for each meeting and the implementation of this MMA also experiences various obstacles, which are sometimes still the low desire of students to carry out MMA extracurricular activities, the lack of audio-visual media in the implementation of MMA activities and the lack of time available during extracurricular activities. Teachers can overcome these problems, by 1) teachers forming group learning, 2) teachers providing various tartili or props to make it easier for students, 3) teachers training students' openness to facilitate emotional approaches, 3) teachers doing a pair program after that reflecting, 4) the teacher trains the seriousness of the implementation of MMA extracurricular activities, 5) and the teacher has product targets that students will achieve.
