Abstract

Islamic teachings essentially give great attention and respect for women. Islam views women as having the same position as men. Even if there are differences, it is the result of religious functions and tasks assigned to each gender, so that the differences do not result in one feeling having an advantage over the other, but they complement and help each other. Inheritance law in Islam gets great attention, because it often causes disputes in the family, to seize the inheritance of the heir. This fact has existed in the history of mankind to this day. Islamic inheritance law is followed and enforced by Muslims all over the world regardless of differences in nation, country or cultural background. Islamic inheritance law is usually implemented when some people have implemented customary inheritance law that applies in the community.
