ZAKAT DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN UMAT DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM ISLAM
Abstract
Among the efforts to overcome social problems is the concept of community empowerment (social empowerment) which prioritizes social justice. The development paradigm is related to social justice which focuses on equality, cooperation, and sharing efforts in society. Zakat has a very strategic role in poverty alleviation efforts or economic development. Through zakat waqf (ziswa), the distance between people who are well off and people who are less fortunate can be brought closer. People have an obligation to help and care for the difficult people living around them. In addition, ziswa also functions so that the circulation of wealth does not only revolve among a group of people who are standing alone. By learning, people actively participate in understanding economically weak communities. This goal can be realized if zakat is managed by professional, accountable and modern management
