The Journal of Islamic Law (e-ISSN 2721-5040 & p-ISSN 2721-5032) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (in February and August) by Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Pontianak. First published on February 25, 2020, this journal serves as a platform and forum for scholars and researchers interested in the issues related to Islamic law and society in Muslim and non-Muslim countries from various perspectives, covering both theoretical and practical studies. Its primary aim is to disseminate original research and address contemporary issues within the subject. The journal has been registered as a CrossRef member since 2020. Therefore, all articles published by this journal will have a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) number. The Journal of Islamic Law has been accredited Sinta 4 by the Director General of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, through Decree No. 225/E/KPT/2022. On January 1, 2024, the journal was accepted for inclusion in Scopus.
