The Journal of Islamic Law (JIL) (e-ISSN 2721-5040 & p-ISSN 2721-5032) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (February and August) by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M), Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Pontianak. This journal, first published on February 25, 2020, provides a forum for scholars and researchers interested in current issues of Islamic law and society in Indonesia and Muslim-majority countries from various approaches, covering both theoretical and practical studies. Its aim is to communicate original research and current issues within the subject. The Journal of Islamic Law (JIL) has been accredited by the Decree of the General Director of Strengthening Research and Development, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (No. 225/E/KPT/2022) in 2023. This accreditation is effective from the publication of Vol. 1, No. 2, 2020 (Sinta 4). This journal has become a CrossRef Member since year 2020. Therefore, all articles published by this journal will have a unique DOI number.
