Journal of Indonesian Ulama (JIU) is a peer-reviewed academic journal, established in 2023 as part of the Centre for Al Washliyah Studies (Pusat Kajian Al Washliyah). JIU is dedicated to the publication of scholarly articles in various branches of Indonesian Islamic Studies. All articles published by JIU will have unique DOI number. The focus is to provide readers with a better understanding of Indonesian ulama. This journal encompasses original research articles based on library and/or empirical research in the field of Indonesian ulama studies especially on, but not limited to, nine main topics: (1) Ulama, the Qur’an and hadith (2) Ulama and Islamic Law (3) Ulama and Islamic Theology (Kalam) (4) Ulama and Islamic Philosophy (5) Ulama and Islamic Mysticism (Tasawwuf) (6) Ulama and Islamic Education (7) Ulama, Islamic Communication and Propogation (Dakwa) (8) Ulama and Islamic Politics and (9) Ulama and Sciences. JIU specializes in Indonesian Islamic studies in general, and Indonesian Ulama Studies in particular, and is intended to communicate original researches and current issues on the subject. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars of related disciplines.
