Analisis Kesulitan Belajar Matematika pada Siswa Kelas V SDN Karawaci 11

Abstract

This research discusses the problem of difficulty learning mathematics in students of class V SDN Karawaci 11. This learning difficulty is because students consider that mathematics is a difficult subject. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the difficulties in learning mathematics and know what are the factors that affect the difficulty of learning mathematics experienced by students in class V. The methods carried out in this research use descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in the study were 9 students of class V SDN Karawaci 11 and class teachers. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of observations, interviews, tests and documentation. The data analysis in this study used Miles and Huberman's model data analysis techniques. To obtain the validity of the data researchers conducted a credibility test with triangulation techniques.The results of the analysis in this study showed that there are students who have difficulty learning mathematics. Difficulties experienced by students of class V are: difficulty in reading and understanding the intent of the problem, difficulty in understanding concepts, difficulty in using formulas and symbol notation, and difficulty in process skills. Factors that affect the difficulty of learning mathematics are internal factors including student attitudes in learning, student intelligence, student motivation, and student interests. External factors include teacher methods in teaching, learning media, facilities and infrastructure, and the family environment.
