Abstract

This research was motivated by the difficulty of students finding story ideas when learning to write a moral fable story text. These difficulties resulted in the emergence of complex problems, namely the incompatibility of the story with the structure of the fable, the use of spelling, the floating plot, the incompatibility of the title with the content, and the incompatibility of the moral values ??raised. The purpose of the study was to improve students' skills in writing fable texts with quantum writing techniques using mini stage media. With these techniques and media, learning is expected to take place in a pleasant atmosphere. This action research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pungging in class VII H with a total of 32 students. The research instruments were observation sheets, questionnaires, and field notes. Data analysis was carried out with two types of data, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions. Data on student learning outcomes were obtained from the performance test of writing fable texts, while student participation data was collected through observation. Based on the results of the study, learning achievement has increased from cycle I to cycle II. Teacher activity in the first cycle is 90% and 100% in the second cycle. The score of student learning outcomes increased, the percentage of student success in the first cycle was 72% and the second cycle was 100%. From these results, it can be concluded that by applying Quantum Writing with mini stage media in writing fables, it can improve fable writing skills in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pungging. as well as providing a fun learning environment and making students active, enthusiastic, and enthusiastic in writing.
