PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN KONSTRUKTIVISME DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS DI KELAS IV SD NEGERI 51/II DESA PAKU AJI KECAMATAN TANAH SEPENGGAL LINTAS KABUPATEN BUNGO

Abstract

This research is the background of the social studies learning which is still teacher-centered. So that social studies learning is boring. Besides that the standard of completeness in the desired social studies learning has not been achieved. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of social studies learning through the constructivism approach which includes (1) planning, (2) implementation, and (3) learning outcomes The approach used is a simple qualitative and quantitative approach. This research data is in the form of information about the process and the results of the data obtained from observations, test results, discussions and documentation. The data source is the process of implementing social studies through a constructivism approach in class IV. The subject of the research was the teacher (observer), the researcher (practitioner) and the fourth grade students totaling 15 people. Data analysis was performed using a data analysis model.The results of this study indicate that the activities and student learning outcomes have increased. In cycle 1, some students are not used to using the constructivism approach so that action is taken by giving explanations to students about the steps of the constructivism approach. In the cycle of two students already accustomed to constructivism learning, so that student activity increases, from the results of observations the activities of students in cycle 1 students complete 68% with an average value of 7.4 and in the second cycle the score of student completeness is 87% with an average score of 9 1.
