Abstract

Abstract

Based on the learning outcomes of mathematics SD/MI, the students of PGMI IAIN Metro have difficulty in solving of questions, especially on non-routine story or problem solving. This shows that the ability of students in solving mathematical problems, especially about problem solving is still low. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of mathematics teaching materials that can be used to improve the problem solving mathematics skills of PGMI’s students. This research is a development research, which is a process used to develop and validate educational product. The product of this research is a teaching materials in the form of Student Activity Sheet (LKM). Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, tests, documentation, and interviews. While, the technique of analysis data is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the teaching materials in the form of Student Activity Sheets of geometry material is feasible to improve the problem solving mathematics skills of PGMI’s students. In addition, the teaching material of geometry is effective to improve the problem solving mathematics skills of Students of PGMI IAIN Metro.
